January Meetup: re:Invent Recap

It's 2026! Let's celebrate by covering as many of the exciting AWS re:Invent announcements as we can. There are far too many to fit into 90 minutes, but we'll do our best to cover the most interesting ones and have a lively discussion, as always.

Speaker Bios:

Brian Zambrano is a Sr. Deep Learning Architect at AWS. He comes from a 25+ year career building software as an engineer and architect. He currently works in the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center where he helps bring customer's GenAI solutions to life, using his background in cloud architecture, serverless, and event-driven systems. Brian is the author of Serverless Design Patterns and Best Practices published in 2018. Brian has held multiple roles in his five+ years at AWS, including software engineer, Enterprise Solutions Architect, and Specialist Solutions Architect.

Jason Westra is a Sr. Startups SA with AWS. He has been helping startups scale their businesses on AWS for over five years. In the past two years, Jason has helped over fifty startups build and deploy their first GenAI solutions, most recently with AI agents on Bedrock AgentCore.
