GridFS and Javascript A gentle introduction to BLOB storage in MongoDB with a comparison of typical alternatives. In this talk, I'll discuss what is GridFS, why its performant and scalable, and the disadvantages of some typical/legacy solutions to application file storage. I'll also demo a simple HTTP streaming video server written in javascript (node, express, mongo) and showcase some code.
