September challenge: 3-Hour Art Focus Inspired by book: Four Thousand Weeks

Hosted By

Details
This September, we’re slowing down — together. 🌿
Join a unique and powerful challenge inspired by the bestselling book Four Thousand Weeks and a transformative exercise shared by Harvard art historian Jennifer Roberts:
> “Choose one painting or sculpture — and observe it for three uninterrupted hours.”
That’s it. No scrolling. No coffee. Just you and the artwork.
🌱 How It Works:
- Visit a local museum or gallery — or join me at KHM Vienna at 12:50 PM.
- Choose one artwork that catches your eye.
- Observe it for three full hours. Alone, or with a “presence partner.”
- No distractions. No phones. Just stillness and attention.
- Do it anytime in September, or meet me outside the museum at 4:00 PM for a 30-minute reflection circle.
This practice isn't just about appreciating art — it's a bold act of
- 🕰️ Training patience
- 🌍 Slowing down in a speed-obsessed world
- 🧘♀️ Finding depth in the moment—not just the outcome
🧠 Share & Reflect:
Once complete, reflect on what shifted in your mind, body, and spirit. Then:
- 📷 Share your story or a photo on Instagram and tag us @nocrastinationclub #TheThreeHourStaring
- ✨ Join us at upcoming online or in-person reflection sessions to deepen your insight
