NODE+CODE Meetup #19 — Interfacing Sleep

For NODE+CODE #19, we’re drifting into the liminal space at the edge of consciousness. Interfacing Sleep invites you to explore artistic and technological practices that connect with our sleeping bodies and dreaming minds.

Two contributions will guide us through the evening:

🛏 Martin Dörr will introduce Latent Entity, a participatory digital organism activated by human sleep. Together, we’ll reflect on the commodification of fatigue and the invisible infrastructures of capitalist-technical sleep systems.

💃 Max Levy will present Sleepdancing, a novel approach to guided sleep in the form of digital danceworks. Through choreographed bodies and choreographed code, we’ll dive into the exploration of guided hypnosis and digital art designed for introspective relaxation.

Join us for a restful, cozy evening. We’ll have free soup for everyone — and maybe even a few pillows, in case you start to nod off.
