**a makeup for the SnowDay on 1/21/14**
Welcome to our first Nodebots (http://nodebots.io/) event of (NEW) year! A light hacknight to meet other node nerds, brainstorm, and build some robotic brilliance, as before!
For this meetup, we'll be tinkering with our post-holiday toys to re-engineer them toward something more awesome. If you got a gift you weren't thrilled about, ripe for a rebuild, or want to put some gelt toward a happy hardware hack investment, this is the event for you! Let's talk about how we can make rebuild our old things for the new year, and better.
We'll have some hardware on hand and as well as tools to tinker with so you can get hacking thereafter, but please bring your arduino or related accessories of choice.
For starters, we recommend the Adafruit (http://www.adafruit.com/products/170) and Sparkfun inventor's kits (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11576)
.::Other Extra-Holiday Ideas:
• Feel free to pick up on the Subnod.es (http://subnod.es/) slack from our last meetup, an open source project to streamline Raspberry Pi setup
• Or jump into JohnnyFive (https://github.com/rwaldron/johnny-five), with teachers to help
• Or learn about Heimcontrol.js and develop a RasPi-pwred automation system?
• OR tinker with your holiday toys and chat!
Bring your laptop and your brilliant brain. Smart folks and snacks implicit.
Join us this day to play!
