Speaker: Zach Gardner
Topic: Monorepos
Description: I have been doing JS long enough to remember the dark days before we even had firebug/Chrome DevTools. Back then, we had these megalithic JS repos, that took longer to build than an episode of Fargo. If your project feels like it's still in those dark days, there is a light at the end of the tunnel: monorepos. They allow us to have a single repo that contains all of our JS, but can let us scope to what feature of the app we're working on without having to worry about rebuilding Random-Feature-X-That-CEO-Y-Wanted-Four-Years-Ago. There are a million options for monorepos, most of them garbage, I'll dive into the most popular and most effective handful.

Speaker: Avindra Fernando
Topic: Lessons from E2E Testing Web Applications
Description: Lots of companies are investing in end to end testing to release high quality software and remain competitive in today’s market. Now with libraries like Cypress and Playwright, end to end testing web applications have become very intuitive and a whole lot of fun. Over the years, after working with these tools, there are many lessons that I have learned the hard way. These valuable lessons taught me how to write robust and reliable tests that vastly improved the quality of my applications. In this session, let's discuss best practices that I found useful to write E2E tests. These guidelines will enable you to release high quality software to your clients.
