We're back! After a two year hiatus (guess why?), we're looking forward to getting together (well, virtually) to teach and learn Node.js and JavaScript.

Are you a beginner at using Node.js and/or JavaScript? Are you wanting
a refresher? Are you looking to level up your knowledge?

We don't have set classes, and as such it is considered a self study program. The NodeSchool organization has a lot of workshops for you to learn from, and we help out along the way, but that doesn't mean you have to do the workshops, we are a diverse group of people learning and growing together.

This will be an online meetup on Gather (https://gather.town), a fun and
interactive video chat platform that will allow you to chat with other
NodeSchoolers while you learn to code! We've set up an online hub so you can write code with Visual Studio Code right in your browser, with all the NodeSchool workshops preinstalled! This means there's no need to install anything on your computer ahead of time.

If you don't already have one, try to have an account set up on
https://www.github.com ahead of time, as you will need it to sign in to the hub.

It's time for another session of learning!

We have regular mentors to help everyone learn. But we can't ever have too many people who want to help others learn, right?! We promise that by the end of the session you'll know enough to help the person sitting next to you learn too 💪

RSVP "yes" and come learn and/or help others learn Node.js and/or JavaScript over a casual Saturday afternoon!

At Nodeschool YVR Cascadia JS is one of our favorite conferences. It truly feels like a family. The call for papers is open to everyone, and I (Gavin) encourage any of you that is even remotely interested to submit something. They are really good at fostering new speakers and the event is always a blast. As the CFP closes on April 17 it will be too late to ask us about it at our next event, but please checkout https://2022.cascadiajs.com/cfp, https://twitter.com/cascadiajs or reach out to any of the nodeschoolyvr organizers for more information.

Hope to see you there.
