The season for a fun Portland thing is starting back up! Tabor Dance is a free volunteer run weekly outside dance party with live DJ's and held at different parks all summer (on Wednesdays from 6pm to 9pmish). There's typically a huge range of people/ages that come out to enjoy and participate and move in whatever way they want. there's no need to dress up but you will see colorful outfits and a few crazy costumes. This is one of those slices of Portland that makes living here so great. These are very fun events.

Bring a blanket or very low chair to sit on in the grass and layers since the weather can cool down once the sun goes down. If you feel like bringing picnic dinner/snacks that's fun too. There are no set rules but we will probably sit and hang out for part of the time, and we will go down to the center of the dancing action part of the time.

This one is being held at Mt Tabor Amphitheater which is tucked down a hill close to the visitors center and parking lot. Parking can get hairy for these events so you may want to try and get a spot on a surrounding street off Belmont. This is early in this season so this one probably won't be maximally crowded.

We'll go a little early to throw down a few blankets to grab us placeholder spots and then will post a picture of where we are so you can find us. Our plan is to be about halfway back from where the music is in front of one of the little rock walls. We'll also come up to the top of the steps coming down the amphitheater to try and watch for people.

Note. You may see us cross-posting this same event in a couple other groups. You can RSVP to one or all of them. no biggie.
