Timeless Voices is an architectural photography exhibition by Tianzhou Yang, curated by Zhimin Zhang and Noiascape, as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2025.
Timeless Voices unveils cemeteries as living archives of cultural voices, aiming to inspire dialogue on the design of spaces where we end our physical life and begin our post physical life.
Cemeteries are more than final resting places; they are living archives of diverse cultural histories. Found in every city—from bustling urban centers to remote desert corners—these spaces bear silent witness to communities that have passed. Each cemetery represents a unique spatial and cultural response to life and death.
In this exhibition, architecturally trained photographer Tianzhou Yang presents a curated series of evocative images that capture the voices of the memorial landscapes. His work reveals both the cultural imprints of various communities and the shared human experiences that transcend time and place. Tianzhou’s series invites reflection on how memorial spaces can serve as a catalyst for memory, reflection and the possibility of life.
Join us for a free, community-focused artist talk, where Tianzhou will share his personal process of documenting these powerful sites. The discussion will explore how we memorialise, what these spaces reveal about the living, and how end-of-life design might evolve for future generations.
