NOISY REALITY is a group to freely discuss history, politics, arts, international affairs and the issues of the day. These comments illustrate our approach:
The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless. Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Reality leaves a lot to the imagination. John Lennon
Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced. Soren Kierkegaard

His primary passion has always been researching and writing about German military operations during WWII, and primarily on the eastern front. Dr. Luther has published nine books (and a half dozen articles) over almost half a century, including ,The First Day on the Eastern Front. Germany Invades the Soviet Union, June 22, 1941. He published earlier (2014), Barbarossa Unleashed. The German Blitzkrieg through Central Russia to the Gates of Moscow. June - December 1941. The book, which took nearly 13 years to complete (five trips to Germany, and one to Rzhev, Russia for research), includes more than 200 photographs (many never before published) and 22 large fold-out maps (among them sharp, color reproductions of German Army General Staff maps)
In the spring of 2020, Luther published a new, fully annotated version of Dr. Heinrich Haape's iconic eastern front memoir, Moscow Tram Stop. A Doctor's Experiences w/ the German Spearhead in Russia. Late in 2020 he released another publication (this one in collaboration with David Stahel) titled: Soldiers of Barbarossa. Combat, Genocide and Everyday Experiences on the Eastern Front, June-December 1941.
