Hello rubtyists and rubycitas

A lot of you know about Kurts' programming Ruby on Rails course that is currently ongoing. As his course winds down, I'm going to be starting up a sister course for learning to program professional javascript. This is a stand-alone course focused on taking people with little or no background with Javascript programming and taking them to a point where they can develop large client-side applications in a responsible and professional manner. Participation in the Ruby on Rails course is not required nor expected.

It will run Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday April 16th - May 23rd 5:30 - 6:45 pm, Price is $450 per person /$425 for company group rates.

Go here for more information and to register:

Please pass it around to anyone who you think might be interested and feel free to email me with questions or check if this course would be right for you.

I'm sure you've heard about javascript by now -- that omnipresent language that runs nearly every website on the web. Javascript runs in your browser; it runs on your phone; it is the world's most popular programming language! Yet it is in many ways the world's most misunderstood. What is a closure? Who is Jason? How does jQuery actually work and how can it help make your website better?

Come build a real application while learning all about the linga franca of the web from a famed javascript loudmouth.

Introducing Nola Js. This six week course will get you up and running with Javascript and jQuery and give you the ability and the confidence to use this heavily sought skill in a professional environment. It will also include a basic HTML and CSS primer as well as discussing libraries and technniques to keep a large codebase organized.

Thanks a lot and feel free to pass this along. George Mauer
