Oman Escape: Mountains, Villages & Hidden Pools 3 Days | 2 Nights
Jabal Shams, OM### Day 1 – Friday Night: The Escape Begins
We leave the city lights of Dubai behind and drive into the quiet magic of Al Hamra.
Arrive late night to a cozy eco-lodge tucked inside the old village — think mud houses, mountain air, and silence that actually feels expensive.
If energy allows, we take a soft walk through the ancient streets… grab light bites, maybe tea, maybe stories.
Sleep comes easy here.***
### Day 2 – Into the Wild
Wake up slow. Fresh breakfast. Mountain views.
Then we go all in.
We start our adventure from the heights of Misfat Al Abriyeen, descending into Al Mazare'e — a hidden world of:- canyon paths
- fresh water pools
- secret caves
- untouched nature that doesn’t need filters
A 6 km hike that feels like walking inside a documentary.
We end in Misfat village… breathe… sip something cold… wander through palm paths.
Back to Al Hamra for lunch.
Then we step into history at Bait Al Safah — where Omani life isn’t explained… it’s lived.
Evening? Slow village walk. Golden sunset. Photos that look like postcards.***
### Day 3 – Above the World
Breakfast, then we climb.
Off-road adventure up Jabal Shams — the Grand Canyon of the Middle East.
We take on the famous Balcony Walk:- 5 km one way
- flat, scenic, unreal views
- cliffs that make you feel small (in the best way)
At the end: a hidden cave + water pool.
Snack. Silence. That “I needed this” feeling.
We head back, descend the mountain, and enjoy a final lunch in Al Hamra.
On the way home, time permitting, we stop by Bahla old town — one last glimpse into history.
Then back to Dubai… different people.***
