End of Monsoon season in Salalah, Oman's Natural Hidden gem

Imagine yourself trekking in the highlands of Europe with the misty foggy greenery surrounding you with the sounds of nature and the symphony of birds. A wonderous mix of flora and fauna. A Haven for nature photographers! We have created a fully inclusive program in two and a half days covering main attractions of Salalah. We cover both the western and Eastern regions of Salalah in two days in addition to scenes of local traditional life and authentic
Khareef Salalah lasts from July to September every year. It happens when the temperature drops to 23 degrees C (73 degrees F), while the rest of Oman and the Gulf countries are boiling. That causes lots of rain which turns Salalah into a complete green area. This attracts visitors from all around the world. Nevertheless, there is more to this mind-blowing gem in terms of natural beauty. From the north, the city is surrounded by a mountain range that turns green with spectacular waterfalls during the Khareef season. From the south, it has a long beautiful coast that is embellished with white sands.

Day One: Friday 25th August , meeting at Dubai international airport at 12:00 for our direct flight to Salalah. Upon arrival , we will meet our local guide who will take us directly to the iconic Ayn Razat Spring that surge in monsoon rains, spilling into a turquoise natural pool.
Then we will head to the local market and for some souvenirs where we will also be having dinner . After dinner , we will head back to the hotel.

Day Two: Saturday 3rd September: The Eastern region of Salalah: Breakfast at the hotel then leave at 08:00

TAIQ CAVE & CAMELS ABOVE THE CLOUDS:
Transfer to the top of Jabal Sahman for a full day of hiking.
Approximate hiking time: 4 hours .
Total length: 6 km
Our hiking experience immerses you in the magnificence of the mountains.
Taiq Cave is one the largest caves in the world and is located in the highest mountain in Dhofar – Jabal Sahman (2,100m). During the hike, we make a rest stop under the trees or in the cave to drink tea and water.
Walk back to the 4x4 to drive to the top of the mountain.
Drive on Jabal Samhan to a panoramic view point above the clouds. Large herds of camels and goats are expected on the way. It is possible to stop and spend some time with camels, take pictures. Continue driving on the mountain to admire the greenery and waterfalls.

Afterwards we will head to Wadi Hasheer famous for its giant Baobab trees and water spring. We will do a small hike to the waterfalls and have a chance to swim in the waterfalls and natural fresh water.
Lunch in Wadi Hasheer (included) with panoramic views surrounding you.

Day Three: Sunday 27th August : On Sunday , we will visit the Western region of Salalah: Early morning Breakfast, check out then we leave the hotel around 08:00 a.m. Then we will drive up the famous ZigZag road AKA Snake road; One of the most exciting roads in salalah of Qamar mountain for Shaat view point for panoramic views of the Arabian sea surrounded by lush greenery and stunning scenery from above the clouds. Then we will be heading to Ayn Roub which is 3 km in total and swim in a natural spring overlooking the Arabian Sea.

We will visit the Frankincense trees of Wadi Al Mughsayl to learn more about the various uses of Frankinsence and stop for a stunning panoramic view of the Mughsail Sea. Then we will be heading to Al Mughsayl beach, the most famous beach in Dhofar for its white sand , blue water surrounded by mountains from both sides.
Then we will visit Al Marneef caves and the blow holes.
Afterwards, we will head back to a restaurant for lunch (included) and then straight to the airport to catch our flight back to Dubai.

Certain level of physical fitness is required as we will be doing two hikes in two days to reach certain spots. This trip is ranked as moderate and safe trek. Remember the temperatures drop to 20 degrees in the mountain which makes this hike even more interesting and cool.
