Eid Al Adha in Kyrgyzstan: Nomads, Lakes and Yurts

Friday 14th: We will meet at DXB airport at 19:00 to take our flyDubai flight to Bishkek. We shall arrive next day at 4am

1 Day (15.06.2024): start of tour
Bishkek - Karakol (400 km, 5-6 hours of driving)
Meeting with a driver at the airport. Transfer to Karakol city.
We will drive to Karakol, along the north shore of the Issyk-Kul lake.
On the way, in the town of Cholpon-Ata, we will make a stop where you will visit the open-air museum of petroglyphs from the 2nd millennium BC - 8th century CE.
Arrival in Karakol. Check-in in the hotel.
For dinner we visit a very nice Uighur family, where the hostess cooks her national dishes for us. Overnight at guest house.
Accommodation: in the hotel with a private toilet and shower in each room.

2 Day (16.06.2024)
Karakol – Altyn-Arashan (30 km, 40 min of driving)
After breakfast at the guesthouse transfer to start point of Altyn-Arashan gorge. Visiting open air hot springs and swimming. You will enjoy with the lunch-picnic in the nature. Hiking.
16 km. Start point of hiking Dinner and overnight at the yurt camp.
Accommodation: 2 people in a yurt with shared toilets and shower outside.

3 Day (17.06.2024)
Altyn-Arashan – Ala-Kul lake
After breakfast we ride a horse close to pass Ala-Kul. Horse riding time approximately 4-5 hours one way. After arriving we continue hiking to Ala-Kul pass (3900m). Hiking time about 2-3 hours. The lake is 2.3 km wide and 700 meters across, frozen from October to June and surrounded by peaks and glaciers, you will have an amazing view of Terskey Ala-Too mountain peaks chain.

➢ Altitude difference: Uphill 1400 m, downhill: 1400 m
➢ At the end of the horse riding: 3600 m

4 Day (18.06.2024)
Altyn-Arashan - Karakol – Jeti-Oguz - Bishkek (460 km, 7-8 hours of driving)
After breakfast hiking down by gorge 16 km. Driving to Jeti-Oguz gorge, where will visit the famous seven bulls red rocks. Light walking to the panorama, where you will enjoy the view of red rocks.
Driving to Bishkek.

5 Day (19.06.2024)
Bishkek – airport (40 km, 40-50 min of driving)
Transfer to the airport. Fly home.
