Eid Al Adha in Kyrgyzstan: Nomads, Lakes and Yurts

Day 1: Bishkek - Chong-Kemin (200 km, 3-4 hours of driving)
Arrival to Bishkek. Meeting with a driver at the airport. Transfer to the Chong-Kemin valley.
On the way we will stop in the city of Tokmok to visit the Burana tower, which was built in the 10th century. It is part of an old fortification, as there were many along the Silk Road, and is now a museum. . After we can walk to the panoramic view.
Dinner and overnight in the family guesthouse.
Accommodation: in the guesthouse with private toilet and shower in each room.
(Altitude during the day: 850 m in Bishkek, 1400 m in Chong-Kemin)

Day 2: Chong-Kemin - Karakol (470 km, 6-7 hours of driving)
After breakfast at the guesthouse, we will drive to Karakol, along the north bank of the Issyk-Kul lake.
On the way, in the town of Cholpon-Ata, we will make a stop where you will visit the open-air museum of petroglyphs from the 2nd millennium BC - 8th century CE.
OPTIONALLY: boat trip.
Arrival in Karakol. Check-in in the hotel.
For dinner we visit a very nice Uighur family, where the hostess cooks her national dishes for us. Overnight at guest house.
Accommodation: in the hotel with a private toilet and shower in each room.

Day 3: Karakol – Altyn-Arashan - Karakol – Jeti-Oguz (150 km, 3-4 hours of driving)
After breakfast at the guesthouse transfer to Altyn-Arashan by Russian truck. Off road. Visiting open air hot springs and swimming. You will enjoy with the lunch-picnic in the nature. Walking.
PM. Transfer back to Karakol. Drive to Jeti-Oguz gorge, where will visit the famous seven bulls red rocks. Light walking to the panorama, where you will enjoy the view of red rocks.
Upon arrival to the yurt camp we can walk to the waterfall. OPTIONALLY: horse riding.
Dinner and overnight at the yurt camp.
Accommodation: 4 people in a yurt with shared toilets and shower outside.

Day 4: Jeti-Oguz - Bokonbaevo (145 km, 2-3 hour of driving)
After breakfast transfer to Bokonbaevo, along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul See.
We will visit Barskoon gorge with amazing nature and waterfalls. Hiking.
On the way we visit the canyon "Fairytale". As you walk, your imagination will go crazy with all the colors and shapes created by the nature. Before the canyon we will visit the eagle show.
Upon arrival, you can go swimming. Dinner and overnight at the yurt camp 150 m from the lake.
Accommodation: 4 people in a yurt with shared toilets and shower outside.

Day 5: Bokonbaevo – Song-Kul (280 km, 4-5 hours of driving)
After breakfast transfer to the fascinated Song-Kul lake. On the pass, we will have wonderful view.
On the way we can visit the local family in Kyzyl-Tuu, which produce yurts.
Driving to the Song-Kul lake. This night we will stay in altitude 3016m about sea level in the yurt camp. Song-Kul is a second largest lake after Issyk-Kul. Is a popular place with the locals who come here every summer with their families and cattle. As the local people say, this is paradise. A flat plain with edelweiss, where you can stay alone with nature and enjoy.
After arriving at the lake, we will have dinner with the local nomad family. Accommodation in the yurts.
Accommodation: 4 people accommodation in a yurt with shared facilities outside.
(Altitude during the day: 1670 m in Lake Issyk-Kul, 3016 m on Lake Song-Kol)

Day 6: Song-Kul - Bishkek (350 km, 4-5 hours of driving)
After breakfast transfer to Bishkek. The way goes via one of the most beautiful “33 parrots” pass, 3470 m. Here we will have the amazing view to the mountains.
In Kochkor village we will visit felt show. Local women show us how to make felt carpets.
Upon arrival check-in at the hotel / apartment. Dinner in a local restaurant.
Accommodation: at the hotel with a private toilet and shower in a room.
(Altitude during the day: 3016 m on Lake Song-Kol, 850 Bishkek)

Day 7: Bishkek – airport (40 km, 40-50 min of driving)
Transfer to the airport. Fly home.
