How will you usher in 2025? Let’s clear our throats (metaphorically and literally!), center ourselves, and start the year off together, in community.

Step into a transformative experience where you will connect with the power of your own voice.

Your voice is more than just a tool for communication—it's the bridge between your inner world and the outer one, the song of your soul and the expression of your truth. Yet so many of us hold back, which can leave us feeling stuck, unseen, and unheard, and impact how we show up in relationships, work, and even within ourselves. When we free our voice, we free our whole being, awakening confidence, self-trust, and a deeper connection to our true Self.

Carolyn Colibri will guide us on a transformational journey with movement, mindfulness, vocal toning, and playful sound improvisation. You will rediscover your voice not as something to perfect, but as something to free.

This isn’t about improving your singing (though that might happen naturally!)—it’s about stepping out of your head and into your body, shedding limiting beliefs, and embracing a deep, authentic connection with your voice. The voice becomes a medium to meet your vulnerable edge and any fear of expression with a playful energy.

This is a limited capacity event. To reserve your spot, please RSVP and e-transfer $33 to roeyhaque@gmail.com. You will receive an email back within 24 hours confirming your registration.

What to Expect:

  • A supportive and inclusive space where you can explore your authentic voice without fear of judgment, allowing you to express yourself freely and confidently.
  • Vocal exercises to guide you through the process of releasing tension and unlocking your natural sound, helping you sing and speak from a place of ease and authenticity.
  • The healing vibrations of sacred native American flutes to help you ground into your body and connect to the earth’s energy, enhancing your experience and deepening your expression.
  • A deep journey into the throat chakra, where you’ll uncover blockages, activate your vocal power, and open yourself to new levels of self-expression.
  • Explore your inner soundscape by toning (sound healing technique that involves using your voice to produce sustained sounds to create healing vibrations), chanting, and improvising.
  • A powerful sense of community, where you’ll connect with others through shared sound in a safe and vibrant space of authentic expression and mutual support.
  • 30 min Post-event social where you can share insights with others over food, and have an open conversation about what you just experienced!

Come as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to explore. Whether seeking personal growth, emotional release, or simply a new experience, this event will guide you to a deeper connection with your true self and with others in a meaningful, powerful way.
This is your invitation to sing your soul’s song, to step into your wild, messy, beautiful voice, and to remember the magic you hold.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing: Wear something that allows you to move freely and feel grounded during sound exercises and movement practices.
  • A water bottle: Hydration is key as sound and vocal exercises can be energizing!
  • An open heart and mind: Bring your willingness to explore and let go of any fears or limiting beliefs around expressing yourself.
  • A notebook or journal (optional): For any insights, reflections, or creative expressions you may want to capture throughout the event.
  • A pillow or blanket (optional): If you’d like extra comfort for sitting or grounding exercises.

Meet Carolyn Colibri

Carolyn's journey of witnessing the healing power of song and sound started in 2007 when she was bike packing in the East Coast of Canada. She was invited on spiritual grounds near the Big Cove Mi'kmaq First Nations where a group of youth from the reserve shared their Honour song circling together in the lodge. It struck a chord in her heart and brought her to tears. A deep longing for connecting with spirit through song was ignited in her soul. Humbly she learned many beautiful indigenous songs and discovered her own songstress nature through playful improvisation and song channeling and creation.
Carolyn blends her love for music with practices of mindfulness, movement, and improvisation to help others access their own authentic expression. Her journey led her to explore somatic psychology, Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC, based on Kristen Neff's work), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR, founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn), all of which inform her holistic approach to healing and self-discovery.
