Welcome to our Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Meetup!
We’re a community of beginners exploring the practice of Nonviolent Communication—a compassionate approach to communication that helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and others. Whether you're brand new to NVC or just getting started, this group is a safe and supportive place to learn, grow, and practice together.
What is Nonviolent Communication?
Nonviolent Communication (developed by Marshall Rosenberg) is a communication method grounded in empathy, honesty, and connection. It teaches us to:
- Express ourselves honestly without blame or criticism
- Listen to others with empathy and presence
- Recognize the needs and feelings behind our words and actions
- Foster understanding, even in conflict
What We Do
We meet regularly to:
- Explore the basics of NVC in a relaxed, beginner-friendly way
- Practice listening and expressing ourselves with empathy
- Role-play real-life situations and offer mutual support
- Share experiences and grow together
No experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to connect.

- You’re new to NVC and want to learn in a welcoming environment
- You’re seeking better communication in relationships, work, or personal life
- You value empathy, self-awareness, and mutual respect

We’re currently gathering materials and putting together a structure for our first NVC workshop. Since Hunter will be traveling in May, we’re aiming to hold our first official meetup in early June—so stay tuned!
