Hiking, Kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, newt spotting, city mural and Christmas walks, etc., etc.
Just people wanting to have fun in the great outdoors of Norcal and surrounding areas.

Our organizers and hosts are not guides or experts. We are everyday people who like to be active and enjoy ourselves with like-minded folks, so please be kind.

Please know your physical abilities and what you can and cannot hike. If you think a hike may be too challenging/strenuous for you, please find a less challenging hike.

NorCal Trail Trekkers is a non-professional social group. Only you can assess your abilities to attend a hike and are solely responsible for your safety and well-being. Snowshoe/microspike Winnemucca and Round Top Lakes
Iron Point Light Rail Station, 12900 Folsom Boulevard, Folsom, CA, US
Expect upto 7 miles and 1100 feet EG. AllTrails Route. Depending on conditions and group preference could stop at Winnemucca Lake for shorter route of upto 5 miles and 500ft EG.

As of Wednesday evening there was enough snow to snowshoe (photo taken Wednesday evening). Will it still be there on Sunday? Bring microspikes just to be safe.

A rare chance to snowshoe in October. Are you up for an adventure?

The Carson Pass SnoPark charges $5 in October.

Weather looks good with a high near 47. Bring snowshoes, microspikes, lunch/snacks, and plenty of water. Be prepared for wind, sun, and cool or cold temps: weather .gov

If carpooling expect to pay about $4.50/hour or $16 and a share of parking. Expect to be at trailhead about 8:50 or so. Trailhead location

Foresthill Divide Loop
FHDL Trailhead and Parking, 15800 Foresthill Rd, Foresthill, CA 95631, Auburn, CA, US
Get to know this 11.5-mile loop trail near Foresthill, California. This is a challenging route due to distance and an elevation climb of 320 ft. This loop offers some beautiful views of Lake Clementine and both the North Fork and Middle Fork American Rivers. It runs along old abandoned roads, shady woods and open fields. This trail is shared by mountain bikers. Well-behaved dogs, comfortable with other dogs are welcome. We will wait 5 mins before starting.

$10 parking or Poppy Pass.
Comment if you need car pooling from free parking at Hwy 49 and Old Foresthill Rd.
