American Canyon Trail Loop
Details
This approximate 6 mile trail has everything needed for a great day of exploration: rugged mountain canyons, beautiful streams, and a wide variety of plant and animal life. It is mostly wooded and shaded, and can be overgrown in spots. With a steep elevation climb of 1040 ft, this trail is considered strenuous. Long pants and sturdy footwear are recommended. Keep an eye out for poison oak and ticks. There is limited parking at the trailhead, but parking is available further down the road. Well behaved dogs that get along well with other dogs are welcome. Be aware of and responsible for your dog at all times. We will wait 5 mins before starting.
