Sherry Harrington has been so kind as to grant me organizing powers and I'd like to start by planning a super short ride and lunch to get to know some of the awesome women of NorCal Motorcycle Riders!

I figured we could meet up at Skywood Trading Post by Alice's in Woodside, and start a bit later than most other groups so we're not stuck in traffic on 84. Quick bite to eat, or cup of coffee, and then just a short ride around the beautiful roads in the area. End up at Buck's in Woodside, which is near 280 and 101.

I've plotted this route to avoid some of the more technical backroads, so this first ride is newbie-friendly.

Kickstands up 1:30 SHARP.

I'm brand spankin' new to this group, but I'm really excited to get involved and advocate for women who love the sport.

So I'd love to know a bit about you! Don't feel like you have to answer to ride, but I look forward to talking in person.

• What do you ride?

• What's your experience and comfort level?

• What are your riding goals for this year? What are you looking for in a riding group?

• What kinds of rides most interest you?

• Would you be interested in helping mentor newer riders?

My answers:

What do you ride? I have a 2012 F650GS, and his name is Thor.

What's your experience and comfort level? I grew up on dirtbikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc. but it was really riding horses that gave me the love I have today for adventure riding. I enjoy riding anything, everything from my amazing experience riding New Zealand back country to my 101 commute. I'm primarily a adventure sport rider, but I am keen to get into hare scrambles and maybe pick up a cheap track bike. So many bikes, so little time!

What are your riding goals for this year? What are you looking for in a riding group? I would love love LOVE to get together with a core group of women riders. I'm a road marshall for Group Rides Forum, and I love Mehran's rides dearly, but sometimes I just itch to ride in smaller groups (and wake up a bit later on weekends ;)

What kinds of rides most interest you? For the short term, weekend rides and quick weeknight rides to dinner are what I can handle with my work schedule. If I find a great core group, I'd love to do some overnights and even longer when the weather gets warmer.

Would you be interested in helping mentor newer riders? Absolutely! I also enjoy taking pillion riders =)

Hope to see you guys soon!
