A WORKSHOP ON COVERT NARCISSISM: HOW TO DEAL WHEN EVERYONE THINKS YOUR ABUSER IS THE GREATEST THING ON EARTH

Do you know that it's almost impossible to tell if someone is a covert narcissist initially? This is because of the mask wearing and acting behaviors that the Covert Narcissist puts into effect when dealing with the public so as to give the appearance of a well handled, put together individual when beyond closed doors they are anything but.

This is a frustrating experience at best. It can drive their most intimate loved ones crazy at worst.

Today, we'll talk about the characteristics of a covert narcissist and how to deal and overcome their particular style of abuse. This workshop will focus on identifying their subtle manipulative behaviors, recognizing emotional manipulation tactics, and developing strategies for self-protection and setting boundaries. We'll discuss:

- defining covert narcissism and identifying it's particular traits
- recognizing emotional manipulation and it's implications on the abused
- boundary setting and resisting manipulation including dogwhistling and subtle attacks
- building self esteem and intimacy with safe people
- understanding the covert narcissist in order to know how to respond
- the implications of leaving or going no contact a covert narcissist and how to put up a defense against flying monkeys and family members.
- how to be truthful about your experience without appearing defensive
- moving on after covert narcissistic abuse for the survivor
