Norman Gen X Meetup Group

We are the generation before helicopter parents. We were locked outside to play Jarts, ride our bikes and drink from the hose. If we were not bleeding at least a cup a minute, our parents didn't want to hear about it. In fact, our government felt our parents had to be reminded that they did in fact have children with an evenings TV broadcast that said: "Its 10pm, do you know where your kids are?"

We are independent and adventuresome. We started our Saturday mornings eating a bowl of cereal and tuning in our favorite cartoons on one of the 4 TV stations before heading outside to play. In the evenings we kicked a VHS tape into the player when nothing was on the few channels available on TV at the time and at school we dealt with chalkboard dust and even had the occasional caulk covered eraser thrown at us if we were not paying attention.

Welcome fellow Gen Xers to the Norman OK meetup group! This is a group for Gen Xers who want to get together for fun, hanging out and having fun. We look forward to doing things with like minded gen Xers like bowling, axe throwing, hiking, dinner, drinks and just have an all around good time like Gen Xers do!
