Little Tykes Hike & Explore at the Monastery. Cumberland RI

We will plan to be out on the trails for about 45 to 75 minutes. The goal is to walk (distance does not matter) and have your kids take interest in Mother Nature vs being indoors and using technology. Pick up and point out rocks, leaves, frogs, ducks, beaver dams etc… Bring a small pail that they can carry. Maybe pick a few rocks to paint or pick out different colored leaves? Point out the characteristics of each item they pick up. SHOW interest in what they have. Hike and learn on the way!
After the hike reward them (making the hike a truly fun event) with a trip to the playground however DONT mention going there or your hike will be over before you begin.

Don’t forget, a pail, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks & water. 
Please plan to be on time. We will wait no longer than five minutes without contact via the app before our scheduled hike. Please change your RSVP one hour prior to the hike if you are no longer attending.
