What we’re about
Northavon Speakers is a fun, friendly public speaking club. We usually meet every first and third Thursday of the month at BAWA Filton. Meetings start at 7:30pm and finish by 9:30pm. We generally usually have between 20 and 25 people attending a meeting.
We warmly welcome guests who can attend three meetings for free.
Northavon Speakers Club is part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit worldwide network of 12,500 clubs with over 260,000 members spread across 116 countries.
Northavon Speakers Club was chartered in 1992, and we celebrated our 30th Anniversary in 2022. Northavon is also the founding club of three other clubs in the area.
Why join a public speaking club?
• To overcome a fear of public speaking or just build confidence when presenting to an audience
• To prepare for a specific event such as a wedding speech or an important presentation
• To develop effective communication and leadership skills that are valuable in many areas of life
• It’s also a great way to meet new and interesting people – we’re a pretty sociable bunch!
