Mountain Top Full Moon Potluck Hike!

THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE EVENT!

Watch the sunset from the top of bald mountain with 360 degree views then watch the full moon rise and hike down under the moon light!

We will leave the parking area at 5:30PM sharp and hike up Bald Mountain at a reasonable pace (about 80 minutes up). The hike is 5.5 miles roundtrip with a climb of 1600. There is significant elevation gain. The hike is not crazy difficult, it is almost all on the fire road but please be prepared for an up hill hike.

We will have a potluck picnic at the top and watch the sunset. Plan for an hour or more at the top to socialize and enjoy the view.

What to bring!
1: water
2: flash light
3: Warm layer as it can get chilly after the sun goes down
4: potluck food to share if you desire, finger food are usually the best.
5: Dinner plate/fork for yourself
6: Celebratory beverage of your choice
7: some people bring blankets or chairs to sit on, its a long hike to bring a full size camping chair though.

The main parking lot is about 120 yards past the gate/kiosk entrance to the park on the left side of the road. The trail starts next to the outhouse on the east side of the parking lot.

Parking is paid to team sugar loaf who runs the park they
accepts credit/debit cards is on the right side just past the entry gate.
