Join us for an immersive afternoon photography workshop in the breathtaking landscapes of Point Reyes National Seashore. This workshop is designed for photographers of all levels who want to refine their skills while capturing the region’s diverse scenery—from historic ranches to rugged coastlines and iconic cypress-lined roads.

Workshop Highlights:

📍 Pierce Point Ranch – Step back in time at this well-preserved 19th-century dairy ranch. Learn how to compose striking images of weathered buildings, rolling pastures, and the windswept landscapes of the Tomales Point area.

📍 Drakes Beach – Capture the interplay of light and shadow on the dramatic sandstone cliffs. We’ll explore techniques for seascape photography and working with changing tides.

📍 North Beach – A perfect location for expansive ocean views and dynamic wave action. We’ll focus on creating depth and movement in coastal photography as we chase the golden light of late afternoon.

📍 Cypress Tree Tunnel – End the day at this famous, elegant corridor of Monterey cypress trees. As the sun lowers, we’ll experiment with framing, leading lines, and soft light filtering through the branches.

The unpredictable coastal weather adds to the magic— rolling fog and moody skies can transform the landscape in minutes, offering dynamic and atmospheric compositions. Whether you’re drawn to expansive landscapes, dramatic cliffs, or intimate details, this workshop will help you capture the raw beauty of Point Reyes at its finest.

What to Expect

🚗 Meet in Petaluma & Carpool – We’ll depart from Lance’s studio we you can carpool if you want, or you can meet up with the group in Inverness.

☕ Quick Stop for Refreshments – Before heading into the park, we’ll stop for snacks and drinks in Inverness.

🚻 Regular Bathroom Access – No need to worry; facilities are available every few hours.
