Celebrate Labor Day with a beautiful hike down to Muir Woods National Monument starting from the Panoramic Highway! This scenic route offers sweeping views of the coast and lush redwood forests as we descend into one of the most iconic natural areas in the Bay Area.
We’ll take a moderate trail that winds through coastal hills and into the quiet, shaded groves of Muir Woods, home to some of the tallest and oldest trees around. Bring water, snacks, sturdy shoes, and a sense of adventure—this is the perfect way to spend the holiday enjoying nature and good company.
parking can be very difficult so make sure to get there early enough to find parking and likely walk to the meeting point. we will meet in the parking lot across the street near the California alpine club and depart from there. Feel free to pack a lunch as we might stop in Muir woods for a small picnic lunch and enjoy the redwoods.
