Hike @ Mt Coot-tha! (Starting from JC Slaughter Falls carpark)
Details
Hiking is both fun and a good way to get some exercise. Every second Saturday of the month, North Brisbane Social Activities will have monthly hikes that will alternate between Mt Coot-tha & Mt Ngungun.
WHAT WE WILL DO.
At 9:30am we will meet at the JC Slaughter Falls carpark near the toilet block (on Google Maps you can find it by putting in loop start). The organiser will be wearing a black cap and white shirt. Once we've waited for any late arrivals, we will then start hiking towards the lookout at 9:45am. After we've hiked to the lookout, we can get some food from the cafe and then make our way back down.
I will be there 10-20 minutes early before 9:30am so feel free to come extra early if you like. To account for traffic, I recommend leaving your place early to avoid being too late. If you do arrive late, you can simply catch up with us at the lookout.
The hike is fairly easy and straight forward with no rock walls but does require a decent level of fitness.
THINGS TO REMEMBER.
* A car.
* Google Maps to help you find your way to the loop start at JC Slaughter Falls carpark. It's not the easiest place to find for first timers.
* Water.
* Punctuality.
* No shows will get a strike. 3 strikes and you will be removed from the group. Change your RSVP if you can't make it.
* The organiser will not be held responsible for any injuries that may occur.
