Extended Spooky Open Boardgaming with Costumes and Halloween Party

Details

Join us for spooky Halloween style open board gaming in North Buffalo. Potluck snacks/drinks. Costumes strongly encouraged.

We'll plan for several hours of open horror themed boardaming followed by lighter fare (e.g. Blood on the Clocktower, Werewolf, Spooky Charades, etc). Consider carpooling/ubering if you'd like to drink in the evening. I'll make some sort of a punch or big shared cocktail.

Come for part of the time or the whole time. Be safe; be spooky.

The usual info:

*Please rsvp if you're planning to make it, and if you realize you can't make it, please update your rsvp as soon as you can as space is limited.

*The house is a long walk from Amherst St Station (1.5 miles, 30 minute walk) and a short walk from Bus lines that go along Delaware Ave.

*There is plenty of free street parking on Amherst St, Meadow Rd, and other nearby side streets. Please don't park in the driveway - it's narrow so you'd be blocking in Liz, and she'll ask you to move.

*This is a gun-free, pet-free, drug-free, smoke-free meetup. (That means don't bring those things, not that they are free. They are very expensive.)

*Feel free to show up after the start time. If you know ahead of time you're going to, it's great if you can post around when you're planning to make it so we don't all start a game of Twilight Imperium 15 minutes before you arrive.

*There's a 7-year-old in the household - she doesn't spend much time around the boardgaming, but she's great at finding pieces that get lost on the floor.

*It would be great if you had your flu and covid shots if possible and that you don't attend if you're actively sick. Feel free to wear a mask if that might be helpful! I'll have some available next to the hand sanitizer dispenser by the bathroom.

*This Meetup is generally meant to stick to the main floor of the house, which has a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom, so please don't go up or down stairs. If we get big enough, maybe we'll figure out a way to expand, but it hasn't been an issue so far.

*The host board game library is listed here: https://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/Coolmew?gallery=large&subtype=boardgame&own=1&ff=1
