Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day - Trips For Kids Charlotte

### TAKE A KID MOUNTAIN BIKING DAY 2025: Colonel Francis Beatty Park, Saturday, October 4th from 10am - 2pm

Trips for Kids Charlotte's mission is to transform lives, communities and landscapes through cycling. In partnership with the Town of Matthews, Cycles for Success, and Tarheel Trailblazers, we are excited to offer this family-friendly ride event in celebration of the nationally recognized, “Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day”!

Join us on Saturday, October 4th at Colonel Francis Beatty Park (4330 Weddington Rd, Matthews, NC 28105) from 10 am to 2 pm for Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (TAKMBD)....a FREE community celebration featuring guided mountain bike trail rides, bike games, bike skills clinics, food, music, raffles, and MORE!

Guided MTB rides are open to youth ages 9-16 (parents, you can join, too!) and will take place at 10:30 am and 1 pm. A little Bike Rodeo is open for youth under 8. Bike games, and crafts will be available for all ages to participate in, making this a fun filled event for the whole family.
Helmets and bikes can be provided (we'll need to know the age and height of each rider ahead of time to make sure we can provide the correct size)!
