Gaylaxicon 2025

We are inviting you to join us October 3-5, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Suites MSP Airport – Mall of America, 3 Appletree Square in Bloomington, MN for Gaylaxicon 2025. Gaylaxicon is a weekend of LGBTQ+ focused sci-fi, fantasy, and horror with professional guests, program panels, gaming, and more.
Our lineup of Guests of Honor this year:
· Nghi Vo is the author of the novels Siren Queen and The Chosen and the Beautiful, as well as the acclaimed novellas of the Singing Hills Cycle, which began with The Empress of Salt and Fortune;
· Jim Johnson is the project manager and line editor for the Star Trek Adventures and Captain’s Log roleplaying games from Modiphius Entertainmen;
· KD Edwards is the author of The Tarot Sequence, an urban fantasy series that blends myth, magic, and adventure into a contemporary reimagining of the Tarot legend. His work is known for its character-driven storytelling, LGBTQ+ representation, and rich world-building;
· Emma Törzs is a writer, teacher, and occasional translator whose fiction has been honored with an NEA fellowship in prose, a World Fantasy Award for Short Fiction, and an O. Henry Prize, her debut novel, Ink Blood Sister Scribe, was an instant bestseller;
· Greg Ketter, local owner of Dreamhaven Books and LGBTQ+ supporter, started selling books well over 50 years ago specializing in Science Fiction and Comic Books, expanding into other genera of pulps, “Beat” writers, as well as more “adult” fare and what would now be considered LGBTQ works. I hope you will all have a chance to meet and mingle with them over the course of the convention.
We also have a list of nearly 20 attending additional professional authors and creators of queer content, both local and not, who are attending the convention and I hope that you will have a chance to talk with them as well.

· Three tracks of programming. Contact programming@gaylaxiconmn.org if you have panel suggestions or would like to be a panelist.
· Vendor’s room. Complete the vendor interest form to apply.
· Gaming throughout the con. A room stocked with games will be available. Contact programming@gaylaxiconmn.org if you'd like to serve as a GM.
· Banquet. Friday evening features a banquet where you can mingle with our Guests of Honor. Tickets are $40.
· Con Suite. Enjoy good food, hot and cold beverages, and great conversation.
· Saturday Chocolate Symposium. Please bring chocolate to share. (We’ll trade an eye tooth for anything from Dubai.)
· Saturday Evening Cabaret. For 2025 we’re bringing back the Saturday Evening Cabaret, hosted by the fabulous Miss Shannan Paul.

Hotel rooms are still available for you late-night players at https://www.gaylaxiconmn.org/#hotel. Parking is free, and the hotel is only one block off the Blue Line Light Rail. There is also complimentary airport and Mall of America shuttles.
