ANF Chapter March Trailwork Day – Rt 948 Cherry Run Trailhead
Details
Make a difference and have fun helping to improve 3.5 miles of trail! We plan to work north and south of Rt 948. We’ll clear trail and paint blaze to the north. To the south we’ll be putting in a small reroute and some water bars along with clearing trail.
Our meeting time is 10 AM on Sunday, March 22 at Rt 948 Cherry Run Trailhead. The Trailhead is located about 3 miles SE of the intersection of Rt 666 and Rt 948. Look for the sign to tell you to turn off Rt 948 to get to the NCT trail head, GPS coordinates 41.63448 -78.99768. You can also follow this link, https://arcg.is/1euX9e, to the spot on the NCTA interactive map or Rt 948 Cherry Run Trailhead on Google Maps.
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, and bring your own water, food, and work gloves. If you are interested in helping paint blaze, wear clothes that can get paint on them! All tools are provided and no special skills are needed. We encourage people that are new to trail work to come out and give back to the trail. There will be a job for you and a person to teach you what to do. Remember that “many hands make light work”. Hope to see you there!
