Get setup for game dev with Pico 8!

Our starter meet up where we help anyone who has not yet got access to the pico 8 software and may need assistance getting it running.

We will guide you as to what you need to purchase & download to join in and use the development side of the software as well as do a general run through of the basics of the software including both playing and designing game carts.

There is no specific set time frame we aim to complete the session by so if this is all concluded rapidly and the group wishes to go into some first steps for pico 8 game development.

Please don't rush into buying anything if you're currently unsure about what you need to take part as we can help you pick the right software. However if you're keen to get going NOW NOW NOW then you're looking for the $14.99 "get pico 8" download, you DO NOT need access to voxatron or picotron. Voxatron will not be covered in any sessions as it is a different dev kit. Picotron is simply a full retro style development environment and UI for pico8 and whilst you can use it within our group and for development, it does not add any features / have any extra functionality for our purposes.
