Azalea Festival & Ravine Gardens State Park Walk 🌸

Palatka hosts one of the most beautiful Azalea Festivals in Florida once a year—and it’s happening this day! This event celebrates the stunning azalea blooms throughout the city, along with live music, food vendors, and a relaxed festival atmosphere along the riverfront.

We’ll start our day at Ravine Gardens State Park, which is famous for its dramatic ravines and spectacular azalea displays. We’ll enjoy an easy-to-moderate walk of about 1.5 miles, hopefully right at peak bloom. It’s a truly special place this time of year.

After our walk, we’ll regroup and head to Palatka City Dock, where the main Azalea Festival is taking place. Expect:
• 🌼 Tons of blooming azaleas
• 🎶 Live music on stage
• 🍴 Food vendors
• 🛍️ Local artisans and vendors
• 🌊 A scenic riverfront setting

🕘 Meet-Up & Timing
• 9:30 AM – Meet in Jacksonville (exact meeting location to be announced)
• We’ll carpool from Jacksonville when possible
• ~10:30 AM – Meet directly at Ravine Gardens State Park for those who prefer to drive on their own

This event is free to the public. I will double-check there is a small entrance fee for Ravine Gardens State Park 5 dollars per car and update the group if needed.

I’ll be cross-listing this event with Smiley’s Meetup page to give more people the chance to enjoy this beautiful day.

More details on exact meeting locations and logistics will be posted as we get closer.
This is shaping up to be a relaxed, scenic, and fun spring outing—hope you can join us! 🌸😊
