Karate originated in Okinawa, which is world-renowned for the incredible longevity of its inhabitants.
This weekly meetup explores traditional karate and other movement disciplines - ranging from tai chi and yoga to circus and improv - through the lens of wellness for both mind and body. It is accessible to all levels of fitness, with no prior martial arts experience necessary.
For anyone who has wanted to take up martial arts but felt intimidated, this workout can serve as a gentle onramp to more formal training down the line.
