TEN+ TENNIS for Adv-BEGINNERS (2.0-3.0)

Details

For Summer 2022 This hour is open for your solo workout, your shared lesson or your clique of friends and family. We will see how things shape up in the fall.

(Interested in a private workout or have your own small group that would like to meet earlier? 8 a.m. could be open.)

I prefer to work with players who give their tennis workouts with me PRIORITY. As you will notice at some point if not already, tennis is a 'discipline' more along the lines of learning ballet or music than some of your team sports. In other words quite a bit of repetition of the various shots is required for mastery, at least thousands if not millions of repetitions. :)

Don't be alarmed, however this will not be and has never been your cookie-cutter kind of experience; it is unique. I will give you sufficient demonstration and some shadow stroking repetition, then we will be in slow motion hitting balls back and forth within the first hour. Trust me, this is a novel approach, utilized by the rare few, A lovely balance between the inner and the outer games. Being rare in so many ways, I highly suggest that you confirm early to hold your spot as I am not trying to get the crowd out for one hour just a few of highly motivated young-at-heart players. Also, please note that a significant percentage of the players I work with are NOT meetup members, as many as a third of them. If they will be attending it may not show up here, though I try to add them with the 'plus' feature. If some of them claim this time period, the offering will close for that particular day.

This could be YOUR PRIVATE hour! Should you choose to share it with someone else, it would still be the flat fee (40$) for one. This can be a weekly or one-time Sunday morning PRIVATE meetup for you and/or as many of your friends and family (up to three more). You will learn to play tennis with confidence and success or up-level your game through contemplating basic tips from the classic game and skill-enhancing drills. We always begin an hour from a 'tai chi' perspective versus a 'kung fu' one. No particular experience required in this case, as we will address your abilities and concerns at this time.

This could be your weekly Sunday morning meetup for up to four (Meetup counts me as one) players who would like to learn and master tennis via basic tips from the classic game and skill-enhancing, low impact practice habits.

Your RSVP is the catalyst. Please do so at your earliest convenience. 'Ten + Tennis' shows you how to achieve your peak play and/or recover it in an instant via the universal grip, power positions, the 'tennis dance' (tennis rhythms), and other Tough ~Love~ Tennis technique. "Tough Tennis" being the name of a tennis manual I wrote and published 35 years ago, and 'Tough Love' being my style, with emphasis on the LOVE of the game along with the mental toughness it takes to succeed in it.

Here is a little information on my background. I have been coaching tennis for well over two decades. When the 'tennis powers that be' decided to turn our graceful, exciting sport into a boring baseline slug fest, tossing out the classic backhand with the bathwater, I resisted and have trained countless players in the traditional fundamentals of tennis which lead to effortless all-court coverage, accuracy, variety, finesse and power... Side benefits for those who follow my guidance are greatly decreased incidence of tennis related injuries. I am very involved in most of the workout groups, so think of me as a 'player-coach', and as for myself I have never experienced more than an occasional minor strain that clears up within minutes to hours usually, but always fewer than 48 hours. You can check the >More>Discussions >Message Board for a couple of threads on things like tendonitis plus an excellent find on the importance of good body chemistry called 'Be Healthy Now'.

Anyone that attends my groups with an open mind, ready to possibly look at tennis from a fresh perspective is usually pleasantly surprised. I think you will be as well!
