Faith and Force: The Destroyers of the Modern World

Details

What is wrong with today's culture, and how can it be fixed? What are the crucial conditions required for western civilization to survive? Join us in Coeur d'Alene to discuss Ayn Rand's answers to these questions according to her philosophy of Objectivism - a philosophy for living on Earth.

This month we will discuss the essay Faith and Force: Destroyers of the Modern World, from the book Philosophy: Who Needs It. This essay is from a talk that Ayn Rand gave in 1961. An audio recording is available here: Faith and Force: The Destroyers of the Modern World.

If you do not have the book, you can get a free electronic copy from the Ayn Rand Institute here: Free eBooks , or purchase a physical copy here: Philosophy: Who Needs It .

Whether you have read all of Ayn Rand’s works or none of them, whether you are a beginner or already have an advanced understanding, if you are interested in the impact of ideas on our culture and in your own life, you are welcome to take part in the discussion.

In case you cannot make it to the library, the meeting will also be accessible via Zoom. If you plan to attend via Zoom, please join the meeting a little early so we can make sure everything is working for you.
