Weekend Warrior Tennis (Sundays)

Because the early bird gets the tennis court! This time slot is a test-in-progress and feedback is highly encouraged! We can’t please everyone but maybe we can meet halfway and pass the torch along?

As we test this out, maybe this can be a staggered arrival event. So those who prefer later start-times can try and maintain momentum for the group and keep things going and courts reserved for those who are participating in-person with one another as through this group. If you are a serious attendee then please keep monitoring each event’s meetup app messages on your phone for updates for any one event you are seriously planning to attend.

For our early morning group I would like to throw in some quick-rotation points games (5-7 points and then everyone on that court do a 1-person rotation clockwise) maybe after some initial warm-up rallies if needed. There should be no formal teams (so we can fairly keep everything mixed) and everyone will essentially have to play both against and with everyone who shows up on any given day and time slot.

We are typically beginners to intermediate. If you are very good please go easier on less polished members while still trying to provide a bit of challenge for them. The goal should be for everyone to improve or maintain, but only within keeping positive group energy. Because the ultimate goal of course should be to socialize and have fun. And improving our game along the way is only the bonus!
