Details
Smiles and good vibes provided. Just add yours! Welcome notes for new dancers: The beginner's lesson at 7:00 PM will get you dancing in no time. Come alone or with a friend. Throughout the evening, we mix around and dance with everyone. The music is live, and the steps are called/prompted. People of all ages attend, and our events are alcohol-free. Dancing is aerobic; dress lightly and bring a water bottle. Flat-soled shoes are best; heels or flip-flops are not recommended.
Tonight's talent: Two fantastic callers who delight folks across the country! Together, Janine Smith and Susan Taylor are the Too Hot Mamas. Expect the unexpected as they share their love of music, dance, and singing with an irrepressible sense of humor. Every dance is a party when the Too Hot Mamas are in town.
The DEAD SEA SQUIRRELS push the boundaries of the southern style with fiddle and fiddle/guitar harmonies. Their eminently danceable tunes use rhythm and dynamics to augment the excitement of a dance. Featuring: Cathy Mason on fiddle; Craig Edwards on fiddle, banjo, and mandolin; and Henry Yoshimura on guitar.
Admission: $15-$20 as you're able. $5 with student ID. Cash, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay accepted at the door.
Times: Beginner's lesson at 7:00 PM. Dance from 7:30-10:30 PM, first and third Saturdays.
