Contra dance with caller Harris Lapiroff, music by Petrichord

Beginner-friendly, family-friendly, introvert-friendly: Join us and find out for yourself. Welcome notes for new dancers: The beginner's lesson at 7:00 PM will get you dancing in no time. Come alone or with a friend. Throughout the evening, we mix around and dance with everyone. The music is live, and the steps are called/prompted. People of all ages attend, and our events are alcohol-free. Dancing is aerobic; dress lightly and bring a water bottle. Flat-soled shoes are best; heels or flip-flops are not recommended.

Tonight's talent: Hailing from Boston, HARRIS LAPIROFF strives for an efficient, friendly calling style that gets dancers moving as quickly as possible and then gets out of the way.

From Washington, DC, PETRICHORD weaves creates an eminently danceable, engaging experience. Colleen Holroyd (fiddle, feet) brings her passion for Québécois, Cape Breton, and Scottish fiddle tunes. Sophie Chang (cello) injects catchy and colorful accompaniments. Rounding out the trio is Bobby LaRose (piano, mandolin), adding his love of old time and Irish music.

Admission: $15-$20 as you're able. Students $5 with student ID. Cash, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay accepted at the door.
Times: Beginner's lesson at 7:00 PM. Dance from 7:30-10:30 PM, first and third Saturdays.

There is ample parking in the lot behind St. Paul's and the adjacent municipal library. The Chatham train station is just two and a half blocks away. Use New Jersey Transit from Penn Station in NYC and take the Morris & Essex line terminating at Morristown or Dover.
