What we’re about

Step Back in Time: Create Your Own Victorian Tintype Photograph.
My name is Mark Barone and I am a tintype photographer.
Ever wondered how photos were made way back when? Here's your chance to ditch the digital and dive into the fascinating world of Victorian-era photography!

  • Get Hands-On with History: This isn't just a talk! You'll get to use authentic period cameras – seriously cool gear – to capture your own unique image. These are not digitally created.
  • Your Own Masterpiece: The best part? You'll learn the intricate (and totally rewarding!) process of developing and preserving your very own metal plate (a tintype!). This isn't just a photo; it's a one-of-a-kind, original heirloom you'll treasure forever.
  • Built to Last: We'll chat about why these amazing tintypes are so special, from their distinctive, timeless look to their incredible archival quality. They're basically tiny pieces of art that stand the test of time!
    Quick Details:
  • Limited Spots: To make sure everyone gets tons of personalized attention, we're keeping it super intimate – only 2 or 3 people per session!
  • Duration: Each workshop is a fun, focused 2 hours. It’s very interactive and you can bring a special someone to be the subject or you can do a still life.
  • Takeaway: You walk out with a truly unique, original metal plate that you created yourself!
