Lamprey Pass--East end near I35 + breakfast after?

We're going to hike from East to West (Gulag area) at Lamprey Pass. This will be a mellow hike with wide paths for good conversation. Meet at The Holiday off I35 and Hwy 97 in Forest Lake (might come up as Columbus).

This route (a wide, high spit of land between lakes) offers a view of both Clear Lake and Comfort Lake, plus some channels. Also will be walking through woods and prairies.

Ive seen Turkeys, hunters, and other hikers and their dogs. We are in hunting season so I recommend some bright colors.M

Anyone up for breakfast after? the Village Inn in Wyoming, just 3 miles away is always a good choice.
