Newburyport Ride! Waterfront to Plum Island to Seabrook RT + Apres Bike-SeaLevel

Newburyport Ride!
Today's route will take us through the South End out to Plum Island making the loop along Southern Boulevard then continue along Northern Boulevard. We will take a right onto 55th Street and ride a couple of blocks before taking a left which will take us back out to Northern Boulevard.
After a brief water/restroom break at the harbor (aka George's Beach), we will head back via 78th Street, Northern Boulevard, 6th Street, Plum Island Turnpike which turns into Water Street where we we join the Clipper City Trail. Following alongside the Merrimack River we will head through (or around) Waterfront Park and cross the river via the Gillis Bridge to connect to the Salisbury Rail Trail and the Eastern Marsh Trail to Seabrook and back.
As we return, we may choose ride and lock our bikes at SeaLevel or return to the lot to secure our bikes then head over to SeaLevel.
Forecast calls for a beautiful day with temps reaching 50 degrees. Let’s get out and ride!
Please note: We will stop for water and restroom breaks but not for lunch. Optional “apres” bike ride lunch.
Approximate mileage: 22 mi. Please have a spare tire tube with you. Helmets are mandatory on our rides.

As organizers, we make no claims regarding any expertise for this outing. This is not a guided tour.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed during the bicycling portion of this event.
