INVITATION TO MARTHA'S VINEYARD DAY TRIP BIKE RIDE!

We will SEE. EXPLORE. EXPERIENCE. the "vineyard!" That's Martha's Vineyard! Join your hosts Kathy Ryan and Richard Fishel for a bicycle adventure from Oak Bluffs to Edgartown and return. We plan to beat the commuter traffic and head down "o'not-so-dark" early to arrive Falmouth between 8:00 - 8:20 a.m. so that we may be on our way to Woods Hole by 8:30 a.m. There is Free Parking at the lot next to the Peter Pan Bus Terminal at 59 Depot Ave Falmouth. (Across the street from the Peter Pan lot the GPS address is 68 Highfield Avenue Falmouth).

Everyone starts out on the waitlist. The North Shore Bicycling for Fun member contribution is $5.00 (nonrefundable unless event is cancelled by the hosts). Once you have made your contribution to the "Apres-Ride" appetizer fund, we will clear you from the waitlist. Click the link in the first paragraph for payment link. Why $5.00? One of the best ways we have found to encourage only those members who truly want to participate on this annual day trip is to request a nominal contribution to our "Apres-Ride" get together prior to our return ferry. (It also cuts down on the last-minute cancels when the event hosts are already heading to Falmouth (2 hr + ride) so very early to greet our riders.

We will ride our bikes to Woods Hole and arrive in enough time to pick up a coffee and/snack at Pie in the Sky. Roundtrip adult & bike tickets are $31.00 and may be purchased online or at the Woods Hole Ticket Office. Ferry departs at 9:30 a.m. and we can plan on the 6:15 p.m. return. Bike rentals available--e-bikes, too, near the ferry terminal.

Martha’s Vineyard has everything you’ll need to hit the road and explore the Island via bicycle. Even the public buses have bike racks!

Bike riding on Martha’s Vineyard is simply spectacular! What a way to welcome in summer just a few days away!

Arrival Details: We are a small group and should be able to stay together as we disembark. Anyone not accounted for upon arrival in Oak Bluffs, we will meet you in front of the Oak Bluffs Steamship Authority Ticket Office.
