Social beach volleyball @ Browns Bay - SAT 7th Oct

Come join us this SATURDAY for a game of ‘mixed’ level beach volley !
Meet new people who love playing volleyball and have fun on the beach :-) __________________________________________________________________________
This is a mixed level volleyball event, also friendly, sociable, enjoying a few (or plenty!) laughs :-) reasonably competitive but we are not serious hardcore.

There will only be one court set up (my own personal net set) so look for the blue net, black poles and yellow boundary lines on BROWNS BAY beach.
The exact location is at the end of Anzac Road / Manly Esplanade, at the end of the beach right by the cliff (see the map photo on the meetup photo album named ‘Just for volleyball photos’). This is the 'Countdown supermarket' end of the beach.

** RULES: ** ( we are quite flexible with this )
• The games will be played in alternate of 2v2 (two on two) for the competitive intermediate players followed by social 4v4 or 6v6 for the beginners players. The beginners games could also be joined by the intermediate players to complete the numbers on the court and to assist with the games.
• Each game will be scored and at the end of each game both teams (winning & losing teams) must come out and be replaced with two new teams, this is to ensure a quick turnaround of players and give everyone an opportunity to play.
• During a volley and receiving the ball from the other team, a 3-hit, bump-set-spike should always be attempted.
• Other conditions may be imposed depending on attendee numbers, weather conditions, etc

** GENERAL: **
• Do turn up. If you RSVP that you are attending then please do so, or update your status before the event starts.
• At the end of the day any players remaining on the beach will be expected to assist the Event Host in taking down the net and packing up the gear.
• Don’t forget to bring your water, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, socks, beachmat, etc & a great attitude !

I will be wearing a pink/red top/jacket plus added fluorescent green band on my ankle for easy identification. I will put my hair in a short ponytail too. There are usually only a couple of Asian girls on the court so I am quite easy to spot.
