Stoicism has long drawn on insights from a wide range of philosophical traditions—many of which are highlighted in the book, Beyond Stoicism.
In this meeting, we’ll explore the teachings of Epicurus, ch.2, the other philosopher of pleasure- although his take differs from that of Aristippus.
No outside reading is required to attend (though it’s always encouraged). We’ll present key ideas and selected passages to spark reflection and discussion.
All are welcome—whether you’re new to philosophy or have been studying it for years. We meet on Zoom, and the link will be posted prior to the meeting.
