On the agenda:
We are staying away from the buckeyes while they're setting mast (developing the nuts). Working on scattered privet along the upper Bonton Segment and Genie's Shortcut before it gets out of hand and goes to seed. Closer to the trailhead, less walking involved. However, we will be off the trail in tall Virginia Wild rye, so apply bug spray liberally. Dusting sulfur will be provided.
Optional lunch after at The Market Cafe at Bonton Farms.
You are invited to our special Mother's Day walk in honor of Genie Fritz, and all mothers! Sun., May 11, from 10:00am to noon: https://www.facebook.com/events/1012717747379072
