What we’re about

The North Texas SQL Server Users Group was formed to provide a forum where Microsoft SQL Server database administrators and developers could meet to learn more about the product, share ideas and make contact with other similar individuals.

Code of Conduct

It is our goal to provide new concepts and detailed information on the Azure Data Platform and SQL Server product landscapes which will enable users leverage them to their fullest potential.

The content of the meetings will vary, but is usually targeted at average to advanced users; however, we openly welcome anyone interested in Azure and SQL Server regardless of experience or level of expertise. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Azure Data Platform and SQL Server technologies, and network with other DBAs and developers! The meetings are free and open to anyone who is interested in sharing their knowledge of SQL Server. Pizza and drinks are provided.

Title: Automate, Optimize, Validate: PowerShell for Power BI & SSAS Success

    Abstract:
Manually validating Power BI and SSAS tabular models can be tedious and error-prone. Running reports just to export data is a waste of time. What if you could automate these processes with PowerShell?

In this session, you’ll discover how to:

    • Ensure development changes don’t break production by automating model comparisons.
    • Export Power BI report data instantly—no manual clicks required.

This session will be packed with hands-on examples, real-world use cases, and easy-to-implement scripts. Whether you're a Power BI professional or a data engineer, you'll leave with practical automation techniques that free up time for more valuable work.
