Abstract:
More and more organizations are hosting their data across a broader set of tools. One of the fastest growing data storage tools is PostgreSQL. Many developers and data pros familiar with SQL Server are now being required to add this new tool to their toolset. This session will outline the differences and similarities between PostgreSQL and SQL Server. We'll cover topics like backups, queries, monitoring and query tuning. If you already know SQL Server, the knowledge you'll glean from this session will start you on your journey to also knowing PostgreSQL.
