About the hike:
Get to know this 3.2-mile loop trail near North Vancouver, British Columbia. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 37 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
This popular loop travels around the perimeter of the Capilano Canyon while offering a great variety of scenery and views. Numerous lookout points are available for the canyon, as well as Cleveland Dam, Capilano Lake and the backcountry mountain ranges. Terrain along this route ranges from rolling, forested hiking trails to smooth gravel paths. Street parking is the only available option for the trailhead as shown, but finding an empty space will usually not be an issue
